Castro Apartment Renovation | San Francisco | 2013 During the renovation and reconfiguration of a 1932 Marina Style flat, the original kitchen, dining nook and corridor walls were removed to make one open space.  The original redwood joists and a creative structural solution eliminated any visible traces of the new support structure.  The open floor plan allows the existing windows to more effectively flood the center of the flat with natural light.  Two bathrooms were also created by combining space from two closets, a tub room and a half bath.
Forestville Residence | Sonoma County | 2014 The house, which was built in 1947, set the tone for the design and renovation of the kitchen and master bathroom.  Opening the kitchen to the hall and back garden enhanced the connection between the outdoor spaces and the new core of the house.  The modern amenities of the project are integrated with the original aesthetic which amplifies the integrity of the historic design.
Noe Valley | San Francisco | 2014 Bathroom and Wine Room renovations were completed in a basement level of a home built against a hill where windows could not be accommodated.  The random blue and white tones of the glass tiles brighten the bathroom.  The Wine Room relies on the dark stained shelving, stone tile and concrete walls to build texture and interest.
Noe Valley Garage | San Francisco | 2013 Borrowed space under the original 1892 house was used to excavate a garage for one car and ample storage.  The project allowed for the reconstruction of the foundation under the original house while bringing the house into compliance with current seismic standards.
